GRADES 6, 7, AND 8
Our principal and upper grade teacher, Mr. William Hinz has been serving WELS schools for 14 years. He
began his ministry as principal and teacher as a graduate of Martin Luther College (MLC) at Emmanuel-
Redeemer in Yale, MI teaching grades 5-8. After four years, he accepted a call to Trinity Lutheran Church
and School in Jenera, Ohio teaching grades 7-8 and principal for five years. In 2013, Mr Hinz had returned
to Wisconsin and served as principal and teacher at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School in Fort
Atkinson. The 2019-2020 school year will be his second year at St. John's.

In the past, Mr. Hinz has taught all subjects, but mostly enjoys teaching science and math and sharing God's Word with the students in his classroom and school.

Committed to learning, growth, and professional development Mr. Hinz earned a Master's Degree from MLC in the area of Educational Leadership in May 2017.

Mr. Hinz grew up on a dairy farm in Pickett, WI and is thankful to have the farm-life experience and the quality Christian upbringing from his family.  During his schooling at Winnebago Lutheran Academy, he participated in many things from music (band, jazz band, and choir) to sports (football).

He and his wife Rachael have been blessed with three children (Cora, Allie, and Conner).  Mr. Hinz enjoys running, biking, and a little bit of every sport he attempts to play with his kids or coaching them if possible.  With his family he also enjoys playing games, relaxing to a good movie, or cheerign on all Wisconsin sports teams.
